We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to lead our culinary team and ensure the highest standards of food quality and service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients in all dishes.
-Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
-Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Help the Chef develop and update the menu to reflect seasonal availability and local produce.
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and assisting in the hiring process.
- Maintain health and safety standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.
- Handle financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and waste management.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar leadership role in the restaurant industry.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and management.
- Passion for using locally sourced ingredients and sustainable practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Proficiency in the Spanish language a plus
