Compensation: $14.00-$16.00 based on experience

Job title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for the routine and emergency care, treatment, and training of specified individuals with developmental disabilities in routine and crisis situations. Responsibilities may include such duties as assisting the clients with completing their ADLs, feeding, observing and reporting individual's conditions and behaviors, interacting with individuals therapeutically, and participating in individualized training and/or active treatment programs for both male and female individuals. The DSP is required to accurately document individuals' behavior(s) throughout the daily schedule, including response to home activities, home training, and unusual incidents. Completion of work requires the use of simple and/or routine duties, while decision-making is based on simple and well-defined guidelines.

Essential Job Functions:

Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule by Isaiah Peace, LLC agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Assists persons served with training to teach daily living and vocational skills. Provides behavior intervention by following the recommended behavior intervention techniques to ensure that persons served are protected from harm or injury due to abuse/neglect, sexual incidents, serious injuries, or other sources of immediate danger and provides emergency care as needed. Participates in delivering therapeutic and individualized training per the individual's active treatment program, and documents individual progress. Assists individuals with carrying out necessary self-care skills. Ensures the environment is free of safety hazards by correcting any hazards found and reporting them to the supervisor. Observe Individuals served for signs and symptoms of disease, injury, reactions to medications, or other conditions that warrant medical intervention. Perform other related work as assigned. May prevent or manage aggressive behavior among individuals and administer CPR in emergency intervention. Necessary trainings are provided by the agency.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.- Ability to accurately document observations.- Ability to implement, grooming- dressing- other self-care skills- Ability to observe the Rights & Personal Dignity of others.- Ability to Observe, Record, Report Individuals behaviors, attitudes, and physical conditions.- Worker must be able to meet physical demands of the position including but not limited to:- standing- bending- walking- pushing- lifting up to 50lbs- intervening during occasional aggressive behaviors.

Required-High School Diploma or GED

Job Type: Full-time & Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule Openings:

We have part-time and full-time work available for immediate start

Shift availability:

Wednesday – Friday 3 pm – 8 or 9 pm with rotating weekends every other Saturday and Sunday 8 am – 8 pm.

Rotating weekends every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8 pm – 8 am
