Now Hiring: Experienced Trimmer/Weed Whacker Operator – Seasonal Position
Are you a dependable, detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic and extensive experience using a trimmer/weed whacker? If so, I’d love to speak with you.
My landscaping business, based in the East End of Henrico (near the Nine Mile Road exit off I-64), is growing rapidly, and I’m looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our seasonal team. This is part-time, seasonal work, typically 3–4 days per week (Tues–Thurs, occasionally Mon or Fri, weather-dependent).
What I’m Looking For:
Extensive experience with a trimmer/weed whacker – this is a must.
A positive attitude and the ability to accept direction and constructive feedback without ego.
Strong attention to detail – I’m big on precision!
Speed and efficiency balanced with safety and hydration.
Physically fit and capable of pushing a self-propelled mower when needed (zero-turn mower used for majority of work).
Must wear safety glasses at all times on site.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation to report to my location in the mornings.
Experience with driving a small truck and trailer is a big plus – I’m looking for someone I can eventually trust to work independently.
Absolutely no drug use – a drug test will be required.
Schedule & Pay:
Workdays: 3–4 days per week, 6–8 average-sized yards per day.
Hours vary depending on the weather: typically 6AM–2PM, 7AM–3PM, or 8AM–4PM.
Pay: $17/hour or $135/day
Important: If you're moody, unreliable, or not serious about showing up and doing quality work, this isn’t the job for you. I value consistency, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
If you meet all of the above requirements and are interested, please email me (no calls, please). Include your cell phone number, and I’ll reach out to schedule a casual phone interview to tell you more about the position and learn more about you.
Thank you for your interest!
