I am searching for a trustworthy, passionate, and reliable Licensed Massage Therapist to be a part of a quaint massage practice in The Fan!
About our practice: True Bleu Healing Arts has been serving clients in The Fan of Richmond since 2015. We specialize in pain management and nervous system support with an emphasis on Therapeutic and Thai massage and Intuitive Healing Services which include Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki. We understand that the nervous system plays a big role in chronic tension and help our clients unwind the body with our mindfulness, care and skilled techniques. Our cute practice is in a row house near Sidewalk Cafe and Sticky Rice.
The Ideal Candidate is:
Highly skilled in Therapeutic Massage (massage for pain management is a must)
Familiar with Thai massage, Craniosacral Therapy and/or Reiki is a huge plus
Self Aware, Respectful, Passionate, and Present
Clear, truthful and open communicator (open to constructive feedback and directly communicates their needs)
Can perform a minimum of 8 (90 min) massages a week
Has VA massage license and is insured
Has reliable transportation and smartphone
Presentable and professional
Has been a licensed massage therapist for at least one year
Confident in their hands on skills and communication skills with clients (can bring clients back)
Independent and Mature
A few things to note about this position: This position requires that you show up and are independent in your tasks (i.e. often no management in the building while you're working) It will be your responsibility to encourage clients to come back, send follow up e-mails, and keep up with SOAP notes. Being an independent contractor means you are responsible to pay your own taxes and are free to work other places.
Available work hours: Monday 3:00 PM - 7:00, Tuesday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Alternating Fridays 2:30 - Close, Saturday and Sunday hours available on occasion (more in Jan)
This is a part time position starting with a 6 month contract, however we will do a 90 day trial period.
