AIR CONDITIONED GARAGE
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to shop and factory standards.
· Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
· Check tire pressure and inflate tires as needed.
· Communicate with service staff to obtain necessary parts and materials.
· Save and tag parts for warranty claims or customer requests.
· Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
· Notify the service advisor promptly about any additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
· Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
· Conduct road tests on vehicles to assess performance and identify issues.
· Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay updated on technical bulletins.
· Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
· Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and notify the service advisor of any changes in appearance or condition.
· Maintain a neat and organized shop area.
· Be accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals, ensuring they are returned in proper condition.
· Assist with other duties as assigned.
Safety Responsibilities:
· Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
· Operate tools and equipment safely according to established procedures.
· Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
· Report and correct unsafe conditions in the work area.
Experience and Qualifications:
· Basic automotive experience is required.
· Basic computer skills for record-keeping and diagnostics.
· Ability to obtain a Virginia State Inspector’s license or currently holds an active Virginia State Inspector's license.
· Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
· Authorized to work in the U.S.
