Position Title: Maintenance Technician/ Setups
Summary/Purpose: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all areas of the campus and all projects are in good repair and maintain a safe environment and professional appearance. The Maintenance Technician works in a manner that is consistent with the mission and guiding principles of the church.
Job Status: Full-time 35 hours/ week (some evenings and weekends)

Responsibilities and Tasks: Technician will perform general and advanced maintenance duties as follows:
Plumbing: to include repair and preventive maintenance for sinks, toilets, urinals, drains, traps, irrigation and Baptismal Font. Maintain ice makers and drinking fountains. Coordinate outside maintenance vendors in consultation with supervisor and according to existing contract.
Electrical: Inspect and test lighting, emergency exit, wiring and power circuits. Replace faulty switches and ballasts. Replace light bulbs as needed.
Painting: Including drywall and plaster repair, filling holes and cracks, painting interior and exterior surfaces as need.
HVAC: Troubleshoot equipment. Coordinate with maintenance vendor for preventative maintenance and repairs.
Carpentry: Basic cabinet and chair repair as needed. Basic carpentry tasks as needed.
General: Carpet spot removal, ceiling tile replacement, grounds beautification.
Facility Setup: Set up tables and chairs as needed for events in the church, education wing and Lake House. Develop inventory of table and chairs in each space. Recommend basic setup for each room.
Physical Demands/Environment:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Available for some scheduled weekends and evenings
Mechanical aptitude
Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to climb a 14-foot ladder
Valid VA drivers license.
