We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our established dental practice. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong clinical background, excellent chairside skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position requires prior dental assisting experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with infection control and sterilization protocols
Take and process dental radiographs as needed
Assist with impressions, temporary restorations, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
Accurately document treatment notes and maintain patient records
Maintain operatory cleanliness and ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA regulations
Manage clinical supplies, including inventory control and ordering
Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience required
Current Dental Assistant certification and radiology certification (as required by state regulations)
Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology
Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
