In Home Care Attendant Needed
In search of a Care Attendant for a minor with disabilities. We are looking for someone who can support and care for our child with complex medical history helping them with their activities of daily living.
You must make sure they are kept safe and healthy through your shift. They require close supervision because their medical condition can change rapidly and result in sudden onset paralysis in as little as a few minutes and in some instances the medical condition can become life-threatening.
We will need help with the monitoring of their health status and quick action if needed, with meal prep and feeding, laundry, medication delivery, oxygen delivery, bathing, and clothes and diaper changes.
Hours needed are between 6:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday and occasional weekend/evening/holiday hours.
Requirements of this position include:
-Must be 18 years of age or older.
-Must have reliable transportation.
-Have basic math, reading, and writing skills.
-Have a valid Social Security Number and be authorized to work in the United states.
-Submit to a criminal history background records check through the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Dept. of Social Services (VDSS) Child Protective Services (CPS) Central Registry.
-Be physically able to lift and carry up to 40lbs for an extended period of time
-Be certified and trained in CPR for children.
-Experience needed: Must have references for similar previous jobs/ references must be from pediatric experiences
-Care will be in our home
-You must be able to work consistently
-Pay is non-negotiable: $13.34/hr
