DK Express, LLC. is seeking a seasoned diesel technician. DK Express, LLC. is a transportation company specializing in dry and refrigerated freight . We take pride in our equipment with emphasis on maintaining and inspecting on a predetermined schedule. Our equipment consists of newer model Kenworth T680’s powered by Paccar MX-13 and Volvo VNL760s Powered by Volvo D13 motors ranging from 2020-2024 models. A successful candidate will be dependable, safety conscious, have consistent on-time performance, strong customer service skills, and the ability to follow detailed diagnostic troubleshooting guides. Experience with installation of electronic logging devices (ELD’s) and Camera devices are a plus. We mainly do PM services, brakes and tires.
Position Title:
Diesel Technician
Required Qualifications:
Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
Valid Driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL-A
Own Tools, we provide everything else in shop
Preferred Qualifications:
Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Preferred)
Fleet Maintenance experience
Experience with Diagnostic software which we provide (Davie4, Detroit Diagnostic Link, Bendix Acom, and Wabco Toolbox)
Electric system troubleshooting
Basic understanding of diesel aftertreatment systems
Roadside Repair experience
Duties:
General Maintenance
DOT Annual Inspections
Preventive maintenance
Diagnosis and repair on advanced Electrical systems
Diagnosis and repair on ABS and Air Brake Systems
Diagnosis and repair of Aftertreatment system
Diesel engine diagnostic
Preventive Maintenance and repair documentation
Other duties as assigned by management.
