Due to high market demand for product, Excel Truck Group, an East Coast heavy truck dealership specializing in Freightliner sales and service, is searching for a talented sales individual to join the team as a Used Truck Sales Representative at their Roanoke, VA location.

Relocation assistance will be available to the well qualified candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prospect, develop and in some cases acquire Used Trucks. Must have a general knowledge of the specifications of trucks and equipment.

Understanding our customers Used Truck needs and working closely with them to capitalize on our many opportunities. Capitalize on each market’s unique needs.

Work closely with the Truck Sales Team and our Corporate Used Truck Manager capitalize on Used Truck opportunities.

Develop with the Corporate Used Truck manager a strategy to maximize our direct opportunities in the market.

In conjunction with the Corporate Used Truck manager, you are connected and actively participating in Regional auctions and searching for other fleet opportunities to gain quality Used Trucks to market for our Company.

Monitor aged inventory and work with the Corporate Used Truck Sales Manager to achieve the best opportunity to sell the unit. Support consistent pricing strategies and our web-site marketing approach.

Help maximize gross profit in every Used Truck deal. Strong verbal, written skills and Microsoft office.

Receive all Used Truck Inventory including signing for and inspecting units when delivered to location.

Forwarding paperwork (Bills of Lading from shippers, Appraisal, etc) to the Used Truck Manager (UTM)

Coordinate with service department on Used Truck Inspections (goal is to complete within 3 days of receiving equipment and all locations to use the same inspection form which is provided as separate attachment) and forward results to UTM

Coordinate Shop Repairs and all Reconditioning (forward estimates to UTM for approval)

Display Appropriate Signage in Used Trucks. Take all photos and videos of Used Inventory for advertising.

Update the truck paper and www.exceltruckgroup.com daily as inventory changes.

Forward Buyer’s Orders/Invoice and appropriate documents for truck deals to the UTM for approval.
