Worship Pastor Job Description
Worship/Music/Services
- Plan and organize musical worship for Sunday morning gatherings.
- Lead musical worship for Sunday morning (and any other gathering requested).
- Manage volunteers for worship team.
- Prepare rehearsal listening tracks (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music) and chord charts and upload to
Planning Center Online for all songs.
- Lead and organize rehearsals for Sunday morning gatherings.
- Prepare/record vocal parts and arrangements.
- Plan service flow w/ senior pastor (or guests).
- Manage a yearly worship budget.
A/V/L /Technology
- Oversee A/V (In addition to other staff).
- Prepare click tracks, slide presentations, and lighting changes for Sunday morning.
- Post-produce audio for service uploads.
- Stage design, organization, and neatness. Cable management.
- Manage A/V/L budget (in addition to other staff).
Content Creation
- Social Media management (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
- Graphic design for social, bulletin, slides, and sermons.
- Oversee photography for social media.
- Website content management (church and school).
- App content management (somewhat - it doesn’t change much). Basically make it look nice.
Shepherding
- Lead and shepherd team members in spiritual growth.
- Teach and train congregation in true, spiritual worship.
- Lead young adult small group weekly.
MISC
- Assist with any Welcome team needs, vision casting, and ideas.
- Coffee ordering and quality control.
- Manage CCLI account (reporting and licensing).
- Manage Planning Center account for OGBC.
- Any other duties that happen to fall to me.
