Boring Contractors, Inc. is a highway and utility construction company looking for a foreman to manage a construction crew in Roanoke and surrounding counties. This would require overseeing a crew of 3-7 workers and coordinating all equipment and personnel from the beginning of a job to completion. You will also have to keep detailed reports of progress made and equipment used. Listed below are types of jobs you will complete and requirements for this position.
Types of jobs you will oversee from start to finish:
-Culvert install, repair, and/or replace
-Building rural roads and turnarounds
-Slope grading and stabilization
-Grading an construction of disposal sites
-Clean up of landslide material, woody debris, and other storm damage
-Repairing existing storm drains or installing new ones
-Shaping and repairing drainage systems
-Cofferdam installation
Requirements:
-Previous work as a foreman for a construction company
-Experience operating equipment
-Ability to shoot grade with a level and pipe laser
-Work closely with VDOT regulations and inspectors
-Valid drivers license
