Background: Metric5 is currently seeking an Application Administrator for an exciting opportunity with our DoD/NGA client. The Application Administrator will administer/support a cloud-based application that provides our client with the capability to manage knowledge and services related to geospatial products. The application is built upon an AWS cloud platform, incorporates JavaScript programming language, is implemented on multiple networks, and utilizes several AWS products including S3, EC2, ELB, IAM, and Key Management. Also the application administrator will be a member of the DevSecOps team and will be responsible for conducting operations and support of the system. A successful candidate will have hands-on experience conducting application administration of a critical application for a federal agency. Required Qualifications:
TS/SCI Clearance
Ability to administer/support applications within a cloud environment
Knowledge of either AWS or C2S cloud services
Knowledge of Windows operating system
Experience with Agile management tools including JIRA & Confluence
Excellent verbal and written communications
Ability to be hands-on with the technology
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
Ability to work with government, vendors, contractors, & staff
Ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in information technology field
Knowledge of Linux operating system
Knowledge of AWS or C2S cloud environments
Experience supporting Federal Agencies
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Desired Certifications: Security+ Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience or more Clearance: Must be a United States Citizen and hold a TS/SCI Clearance (or higher) Our benefits include:
