Description We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team based in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing operational and financial support to our operations. You will be tasked with responsibilities ranging from cost accounting and financial reporting to inventory management and internal controls, among others. This role is pivotal to our organization and offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development.Responsibilities: Serve as a trusted business partner to the leadership team, providing data-driven insights that enable the site to achieve its strategic objectives Track and report actual performance against plan and forecast, assisting in the preparation and review of monthly performance reports Drive and monitor the plant’s productivity performance, implementing corrective action as needed Assist with the development of capital expenditure requirements, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and performance measures Oversee the management of plant fixed assets, including physical inventories, impaired asset assessments, and depreciation forecasts Ensure accurate standard costs and perpetual inventory records are maintained in SAP Assist in managing the month-end closing process, preparing and monitoring monthly accruals, and reviewing asset write-offs Support the annual operating plan for the plant in line with long-term corporate objectives Audit and maintain internal controls, ensuring proper segregation of duties Assist in developing and mentoring the team to fulfill the long-term objectives of the organization. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related finance and accounting roles Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Expertise in Auditing procedures and practices Familiarity with Billing Functions Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements Previous experience in the Manufacturing industry is preferred Excellent communication and team management skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree is advantageous Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
