Personal Care Attendant needed in Wytheville, VA.
Duties will include (but not limited to) daily help with dressing, toileting, fixing meals, assisting with eating, cleaning dishes, making grocery lists, cleaning hands/face after eating, assisting with exercise, assisting with entertainment, doing laundry changing bed linens, changing adult incontenance depends, trimming nails, showering, brushing teeth. Providing transportation and accompany to Dr. appointments, outings, park for walks, stores and other social activities.
Attendant will be dealing with behavior issues, bouts of hyperactivity, anger and aggression during manic episodes. Also, providing motivation to get activity during depressive times. The attendant must have a lot of patience and compassion and have a strong ethic to believe he/she can make a difference and have a positive influence in someone's life.
