Looking for a personal care attendant for our 8-year-old autistic son. This will be a 50 hour/week shift which does not include overtime pay. The work week begins Thursday and ends the following Wednesday. The current pay is $13. 61/hr. (hourly wage set by the state). Must be at least 18 years old.
Hours:
Mondays-Fridays 6:00am-7:30 or 45ish. a.m. and 3:00pm-9:30 p.m. Weekends as needed or until hours are fulfilled. Thursdays will need longer hours due to therapies in the morning. Will give details in interview.
Responsibilities:
Assist with toileting, bathing, grooming, doing some of his laundry, cleaning messes, preparing lunchbox and cleaning it after school, assistance with meal preparation, and some transferring depending on frequent behavioral issues. He will also need help getting in and out of vehicle used to transport to and from school. He is an elopement risk. He may need help with harnesses.
You must have some experience with autistic children who are not high functioning.
