SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the supervising and training Counseling staff, providing clinical services, and developing and monitoring new and existing program services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Provides clinical supervision of the Counseling staff to include the development and implementation of service standards, goals, and objectives in assigned program locations. Promotes staff professional growth. Provides Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervision (LCSW), as required.

Responsible for the quality and completion of staff in-house training.

Responsible for coordination and provision of field supervision to students in the Counseling program.

Responsible for the quality of Counseling Program case record documentation, both manually and through SAM. Records should be in compliance with required licensing standards, laws, certifications and accrediting bodies, as well as agency policies and procedures. Documentation should be completed accurately and timely.

Coordinates and supervises the programs overall Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) activities including monthly chart audits/reports for PQI purposes.

Coordinates program fee collection with Accounting, assuring that required pre-authorizations are completed and that fees are collected and accounted for appropriately and timely

Provides Domestic Violence assessments, as required

Conducts individual and group Counseling sessions; back- up staff as needed

Provides social work services/coverage to schools as needed

Coordinates and provide on-call services

Participates in staff meetings; lead as assigned or in absence or Program Manager; facilitate communications through appropriate staff meetings, emails, etc.

Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.

Demonstrates sensitivity to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.

Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in a related field of study required with two years of experience. One year of supervisory experience is also required. LCSW or LPC certified in the state of Virginia required.
