The Red Fox Inn & Tavern is Middleburg's boutique inn with 22 guest rooms, suites and cottages, both a tavern and a pub featuring southern fare in a historic setting, and a landmark venue offering bespoke weddings and social events.

Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating entire service section and communicating with front and back of house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations. Ensure all guests receive friendly, courteous and prompt service at all times while following established RFI&T Service Standards.
Server Duties
ª Complete set up and break down as directed.
ª Wash, sterilize, polish, and stock cutlery, china and glassware.
ª Ensure cutlery, china and glassware is polished TO STANDARDS before setting on tables.
ª Greet assigned tables and inform guests of specials and menu changes.
ª Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
ª Take food and beverage orders from guests, up-sell menu items and beverages accordingly, enter orders
accurately in the point-of-sale system.
ª Responsible for assembling and preparing all non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages according
to standard drink recipes when no Service Bartender is present.
ª Responsible for assembling and garnishing all food orders when no Expediter is present.
ª Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
ª Present, open, and pour wine according to service standards when serving guests.
ª Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
ª Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change.
ª Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
ª Responsible for stocking, removing, and resetting dishes and silverware between courses and cleaning
and resetting vacated tables according to presentation standards.
ª Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
ª Be ready and willing to assist busser with clearing and resetting tables.
ª Assist with the restocking and replenishment of supplies.
ª Ensure all side duties are fully completed at the start and end of each shift as outlined.
ª Turn in paperwork to be completed by the manager on duty. Receive permission to clock-out.
Minimum Requirements:
- be 21 years of age
- 1 year of serving experience
- wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge
- must be able to work at least 4 shifts per week
- all employees are required to work nights, weekends, & holidays
