Description We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Bellevue, Washington. This on-site role involves overseeing daily operations, managing the accounting team, and producing financial reports. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Review and ensure the accuracy of financial reports and records prepared by the accounting team. Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes ensuring they are completed accurately and timely. Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Provide guidance and support to junior accountants and accounting clerks to enhance team performance. Assign tasks and manage workflow within the accounting department. Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Liaise with clients and vendors to resolve billing and payment discrepancies. Review and approve entries related to accounts payable/receivable to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies. Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and implement improvements to minimize financial risks. Support compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Assist in preparing documentation and records for internal and external audits.Requirements Demonstrable proficiency in General Ledger Proficient in Year End Closings and Month End Close Experience with AppFolio software is required Ability to perform Account Reconciliation effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Experience with Form 1099 Knowledge of Evaluation Processes Ability to create and maintain Process Documentation Experience with External Audit processes Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and leadership abilities Knowledge of industry legal regulations and guidelines Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) is a plus Familiarity with financial software Ability to work with tight deadlines.
