Provide friendly, helpful, quick and courteous customer service

Develop creative and aggressive merchandising plans

Hire and train new department employees

Write department schedule

Responsible for department sales and labor budget, grosses and reports

Perform employee performance evaluations

Write and work orders, plan promotions, ensure proper signage on all products and oversee inventory control procedures for the department

Maintain department cleanliness, product freshness and variety

Keep up on industry trends, standards and changes

Ensure the dissemination and adherence to all company and department policies

Maintain adherence to sustainability programs and all security & safety policies

Adhere to proper waste management and recycling procedures

Operate within the Company’s Core Values and Company Brand

Minimum 5 years meat cutting experience

Interest and enthusiasm for cooking/nutrition

Emphasis on selling and merchandising/creativity

Must work towards maximizing total overall market sales

Exemplifies health department standards

Excellent record keeping skills

Ability to work with a diverse group of customers and employees

Must possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by example

Must possess intermediate computer skills including MS Office

Must be a visionary, leader and team player

Good follow-through and people skills

Displays excellent work ethic

Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays

Excellent verbal, written communication skills (including spelling, grammar and industry language)

Must be able to lift 60 lbs.

Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting and reaching)
