Work a full time schedule 9:30AM-10PM every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Looking for a new challenge as a Medical Lab Technician? In this role, you'll support the providers with diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases by accurately testing patient specimens, correlating data, and reporting results in a timely manner to support quality patient care.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Ensuring reagents and supplies are ordered when needed.

Performing and reporting laboratory tests according to instructions, documenting results and reviewing for accuracy.

Handling biohazardous body fluids while following universal precautions.

Preparing samples for analysis by following documented protocols.

Recognizing patient abnormal distributions in a run as well as individual resulting abnormalities. Repeating abnormal results as required and ensuring providers are notified of critical values.

Following all safety precautions and adhering to laboratory processes.

Analyzing laboratory reports for accuracy.

Following all documented protocols to ensure the accuracy of test results.

Performing maintenance and cleaning of work spaces and instruments as required.

Preparing various solutions such as calibrators, QC, reagents and maintaining related documentation.

Running Quality Control tests and properly documenting results per protocol.

Performing troubleshooting as required.

Entering results into the Laboratory Information System.

Exhibiting strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory processes.

Communicating with associates, providers and the help team as needed to provide outstanding patient care.

Assist in training new employees and mentoring existing employees

Administrative duties such as documentation, and record keeping of laboratory events

Perform Quality Assurance duties

Performing patient phlebotomy, including IV placement if applicable

Performing other duties as assigned.

Arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and adhering to the Attendance Policy

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of an approved program for Medical Lab Technicians

ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification

Working knowledge of chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, and immunoassay instrumentation

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred

Manual dexterity

Phlebotomy skills and experience are favored, but not required

Hourly Pay Rate: $35 - $39 depending on experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and reaching overhead.

Occasional crouching, kneeling, and bending.

Prolonged periods working at a desk and working on a computer.
