DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Global Fleet and Products (GFP) organization powers the network of internal and external organizations that source, distribute and operate Amazon's in-house last mile delivery fleet. The Fleet Planning team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to drive the teams make the most efficient use of fleet.

As a Sr. Program Manager in Amazon Last Mile Fleet Planning team, you will be responsible for allocation of fleet to Delivery Service Partners (DSPs). The goal of fleet planning team is to allocate the right quantity and mix of fleet to the DSPs to ensure DSPs and DAs have the best experience with amazon fleet. Having the right quantity of fleet minimizes the need for DSP to manage rentals, improves amazon branded fleet utilization and lowers the overall cost of last mile delivery. To build fleet plans, you will plan allocation and movement of branded fleet between DSPs and forecast need for rentals. You will work with large amounts of data to build fleet plans, monitor execution to the plan and adapt plans to changing business dynamic.

Key job responsibilities
• Design hands off the wheel processes for building allocation and fleet plans
• Employ technology and research teams to implement scalable, logical yet simplified tools
• Partner with multiple teams to test and measure success of implemented strategy
• Lead reviews with senior leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • 3+ years of experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 3+ years of experience in a partner facing role
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and modelling data


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient with data analytics using SQL and/or programming language like Python/R
• Experience using data science and optimization models (using tools like CPLEX, FICO XPRESS)
• Experience with automating tasks to mechanize planning workflow
• Rental car or other fleet management experience a plus;
• Knowledge for logistics and transportation
• Knowledge of Amazon delivery operations
