DescriptionAWS recently announced it will be leading an open-source fork (n%20order%20to%20ensure%20open%20source%20versions%20of%20both%20packages%20remain%20available%20and%20well%20supported) of Elasticsearch and Kibana, in order to ensure open source versions of both packages remain available and well supported.We’re looking for individuals to join this effort. Much of the work is software engineering, and there is also a need for front-end development, technical writing, user experience design, community engagement, and many other roles.Participation can take many forms. As a community-driven project, multiple companies and individuals will share responsibility for directing and contributing. AWS, as one of those contributors, is looking to hire a variety of full-time roles dedicated to developing, enhancing, and supporting these open source projects. 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
