DescriptionAmazon Digital Acceleration is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining a unique storage platform comprised of DynamoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, and S3. You will be responsible for building robust APIs to expose reads and writes to the storage, optimizing query execution for improved performance and cost efficiency, and contributing to the development of a centralized eventing system and its associated APIs and reporting mechanisms. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance within our systems.Key job responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain APIs for accessing and manipulating data stored in DynamoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, and S3.
Optimize query execution to improve performance and reduce storage costs.
Contribute to the development of a centralized eventing system, including designing APIs, implementing event processing logic, and generating reports.
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
Mentor other entry level developers in the team, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and operational tasks.

2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
