We are looking for a Solution Architect to help the DF vendors automate their Pick, Pack and Ship processes using DF's API and EDI integration solutions. Direct Fulfillment (dropship) provides Amazon customers the broadest in-stock selection, at the quality and speed of delivery they have come to expect from Amazon. Direct Fulfillment allows Amazon to fulfill customer orders directly from our vendor’s warehouse, and is one of the fastest growing supply channels at Amazon. API enables the DF vendors both large and small to integrate with us to scale their business and automate their processes.Key job responsibilitiesThe Direct Fulfillment Solution Architect will:
Provide project management and technical support for North American Direct Fulfillment Vendors integrating with the Direct Fulfillment APIs
Work with internal and external stakeholders to present the technical capabilities of the Direct Fulfillment APIs to existing and prospective partners
Lead cross functional projects to migrate existing DF vendors to new technology involving technical, operations, transportation and product management teams
Leverage technology and innovation to bring continuous improvement to operational processes
Channel vendor feedback to product management, software development, and leadership
Develop, refine, and maintain technical documentation supporting our products and platforms
Provide ongoing technical support for clients who are integrated with our Direct Fulfillment platform
Coordinate large-scale communications to clients around improvements, policies, and procedures
Influence the Product roadmap
Closely collaborate with Product and Engineering teams across SCOT to launch Direct Fulfillment API and EDI related products.

2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
5+ years of relevant experience in designing & implementing API/EDI integration solutions to solve business problems
Experience with any middleware technologies or tools like Contivo, Seeburger, Tibco, GIS, SAP PI/PO, WTX, Gentran, TLE, BizTalk etc
Experience developing integration interfaces using API (REST/SOAP) and Web services
Demonstrated experience with writing functional/technical design documents, troubleshooting complex EDI/API failures
Experience working with XML, JSON and other message formats
Experience writing functional design documents and specifications, working with external EDI/API partners, and testing interconnected systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards
Experience with EDI communications standards and protocols: AS2, standard VAN-based EDI, FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, and Web services
Experience with rotational on-call duties and real-time live-system responsibility
Experience with program/project management

The base pay for this position ranges from $105,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market.
