DescriptionJob SummaryThe Apprenticeship Lead (NCCER) will be responsible for managing the NCCER training and compliance of the Company’s apprenticeship requirements. Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager, the Apprenticeship Lead (NCCER) will manage, update, and distribute training materials, instruct various courses, as well as maintain all training records.Essential Functions

Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values”.

Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics”.

Provides all National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) training, testing compliance, evaluation, and assessment activities under the supervision of the Manager, Apprenticeship Program, and at direction of the Apprenticeship Committee.

Acts as Program Director of the NCCER Accredited Training Program and associated Registered Training Programs. Responsible for overall NCCER program compliance and is the primary liaison between the Accredited Assessment Program and NCCER.

Trains and oversees craft instructors, coordinators, proctors, and evaluators to meet NCCER Apprenticeship standards. Evaluates instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.

Coordinates the execution of the project training programs and provides all NCCER information and assessments in any other location that is required.

Coordinates Operator Qualification (OQ) training and testing for all business lines as required.

Manages, updates, and organizes training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials for the Apprenticeship Program and related programs.

Manages the development, maintenance and delivery of Company sponsored High Hazard Facility Training (20-Hour Advanced Safety Training requirement).

Coordinates established courses with technical courses provided by community schools as it pertains to the Apprenticeship Training Program.

Instructs Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (IMM) 40-hour-class and provides IMM module training as needed.

Acts as backup to instructors across several disciplines.

Ensure accurate reporting and recordkeeping of all NCCER training records.

Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.

Qualifications

An accredited 4-year degree/Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Adult learning or similar curriculum.

5+ years’ proven experience in Construction/Maintenance related training.

NCCER credentials are highly preferred, including Master Trainer; Craft Instructor and Performance Evaluator; and Primary Administrator.

Mechanical knowledge (i.e., pipefitting, boilermaker, etc. experience) to credibly lead craft skills classes.

Demonstrated ability to produce written documents and procedures.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong computer skills.

Ability to travel to various project on short notice to provide training.

PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Position may require frequent travel and overtime.Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is shown below. The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay.
