In preparation for a busy spring and Summer we (Banter) are looking to bring on a couple of key hires to get up to speed with training and scheduling before the busy season, which will be upon us before we know it!
Banter is located in the heart of Downtown Bellingham serving up specialty coffee, cocktails and a health focused breakfast and lunch menu. We are very intentional with our hiring and are looking for applicants who have both the technical experience to work in the FOH and/or BOH as well as significant availability within their scheduling needs. In a perfect world, a new hire would be looking at 2/3 shifts a week through the end of Winter and moving into 4/5 shifts come Summer.
The team culture at Banter is one that is very team-oriented, everyone works together towards a common goal and no one is afraid to do the dirty work. We tend to hire folks who are ambitious about their constant path towards improvement and willingness to learn a new system. The basic fundamentals of working in a restaurant are required, and intentional effort will take care of the rest.
Some basics of the job package:
-Everyone starts at Minimum Wage ($17.66)
-All positions (Baristas, Dishwashers, Cooks, Managers, etc) are in an equally divided tip pool (ranges from $8-$13 per hour)

-Quarterly Bonus Structure for employees who have been employed for 6-months or longer
