Newest Bistro in the growing heart of downtown Mt Vernon! We will be open first half of December and will feature a smaller, hyper-local menu - after all we are in the heart of rural farmland.
Experienced restaurant owner/operator wants everyone involved - staff and guests - to enjoy a friendly, light-hearted, quality bistro environment. Menu may change given local harvests and sources of ingredients. Be ready for adventure!
UNION BLOCK BISTRO is Mt Vernon's newest restaurant addition and is excited to offer an earth friendly, hyper-local menu. Staff should be passionate about good quality, locally grown foods. A friendly demeanor, sense of adventure and organization/attention to detail will help. Experience is required as we want someone who can jump in, help us build and grow with us. Daily duties will vary as we get acquainted with our needs. FOH and BOH tasks (customer service, drink prep - espresso as well as beer/wine/cider, food running, bussing, dishes, cleaning, closing) are all expected. Shifts Th, Fr, Sat and Sun midday to close 8:30pm (28-30 hours). $17/hr + tips to start.
