Job Overview

Enthusiastic about exceptional food and dedicated to delivering outstanding service! The Apprentice Meat Cutter is responsible for learning the skills of meat cutting and wrapping under the supervision of the Meat Manager.

Requirements

A strong desire to learn the meat cutting trade as a career is required.

Willingness to commit to an approximately two-year apprenticeship program.

Openness to learn the preparation methods for all meat department items.

Familiarity with different meat cuts and meat department products is a plus.

Active engagement in training and professional development.

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Valid Food Handler card.

Key Responsibilities

Stay informed about innovative ideas to enhance the meat department.

Skillfully cut, trim, grind, barbecue, and wrap meat products promptly and accurately.

Maintain fresh and clean displays by rotating products.

Ensure product sanitation and uphold departmental cleanliness and food safety standards.

Utilize effective sales techniques to promote meat department purchases.

Demonstrate proficiency in operating department equipment safely and efficiently.

Complete assigned tasks efficiently as directed by supervisors.
