Circle of Life Caregiver Cooperative (COL) is hiring an Administrator to manage all aspects of operations. COL is Bellingham's only Homecare Cooperative, owned by the caregivers that work there. This employee-owned agency has over 30 caregivers who provide high-quality in-home care to elders and people with disabilities and is seeking a full-time manager with experience in eldercare management.

Qualified applicants will be proficient in MS Office, MS Excel and Internet and will have experience in drafting annual budgets, meeting facilitation, employee and client documentation and an understanding of HIPPA regulations. The Administrator is also responsible for marketing, community outreach, client intake and all communication with the Washington State Department of Health. Must have excellent communication skills and experience managing healthcare workers.

Experience in cooperatives or democratic workplaces is a plus!

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Administrator works with the Board of Directors to provide oversight to the operations of the cooperative and assumes responsibility for the delivery of quality home care services.

Qualifications:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

2. Supervisory and management experience.

3. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel and Internet.

4. Experience working with home care professionals.

5. Have access to a motor vehicle and a valid driver's license.

6. Willingness to network and represent COL to the community.

Specific Duties Include:

1. Oversees all aspects of Operations.

2. Oversees the maintenance of all COL Client and Employee records.

3. Oversees the maintenance of all COL recordkeeping according to State, Federal and County contract requirements.

4. Maintains COL policies and procedures.

5. Ensures confidentiality and compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

6. Assures compliance with home care plan of care by agency direct care staff.

7. Oversees hiring, supervising and evaluation of caregivers.

8. Implements and oversees the agency quality assurance plan.

9. Coordinates the work of all office staff.

10. Communicates all necessary information to the Board of Directors.

11.Willingness to adhere to Co-op bylaws and ensure Board access to all relevant information.

12. Produces monthly written Board report.

13. Oversees all financial records and delegates to bookkeeper as needed.

14. Promotes and practices excellent communication skills with co-op and clients.

15. Works with the Board of Directors to produce annual COL budget and monitors the status.

16. Oversees client intakes processes according to DOH requirements.

17. Oversees marketing and advertising which includes:

1. Visits and contacts with case managers, social workers and other liaisons to clients,

2. Community events,

3. COL use of social media tools and oversight of COL website.

Other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Board of Directors.
