We are looking for a few caregivers for the morning shift (8am-noon), the evening shift (7pm-10pm), and the late shift (10pm-midnight), especially on weekends. The patient needs help with his daily living activities, because he is paralyzed from the shoulders down. This includes meal prep and feeding, light house keeping, and repositioning in bed. He also needs help getting dressed and transferring to his power wheelchair. During the morning shift on most days he needs help taking a shower. While experience is welcome, it is not necessary, since we do provide training.
This is a great opportunity for students interested in part-time work and have the flexibility to be called as a substitute on short notice, especially if you live near Fairhaven. Preference will be given to applicants who are already registered with CDWA as an independent provider and/or have up to date HCA certification.
