Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual with cheerful friendly disposition to join our team as an experienced Cleaning Person/Lawncare/Custodian. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and performing various maintenance tasks in both a serene luxury home with beautiful one-acre landscape and neighborhood wildlife sanctuary near Chuckanut Drive, as well as a professional commercial building environment in downtown Bellingham.
Responsibilities Include:
- General cleaning of interior and exterior spaces
(e.g. sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, leaf blowing, kitchen and bathrooms)
- Landscape-related duties including lawn mowing and plant care
- Trash removal, recycling and waste management
- Coordinating access for vendors and tradespeople at properties (e.g. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, other)
- Security checks and ensuring safety and security standards are consistently met throughout both properties.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cleaning and property maintenance roles
- Automobile cleaning and detailing experience a plus (4 vehicles, including 3 Teslas)
- Dog grooming experience a plus
- Ability to efficiently perform physical work with a cheerful upbeat disposition
- Ability to easily lift up to 50 lbs, and climb stairs and ladders
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals (especially 'green' ones) and cleaning equipment
- Basic handyman skills a plus: such as pressure washing, painting, light demo and assembly
- Must have a valid driver's license and means of transportation
- Must love dogs (we have two) and animals (re: backyard and neighborhood wildlife sanctuary)
- Excellent attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
Flex-time: 20+ to 40+ hours per week, starting punctually by or before 8am daily
Compensation:
$22 per hour plus bonuses (plus benefits after initial 2-way trial period)
