Robinson Hardwood & Homes is searching for a full-time Hardwood Flooring Technician to join our team, serving Whatcom and Skagit counties. This is an entry-level position so no prior hardwood or flooring experience needed. We will provide the tools and training to become a skilled tradesperson. This trade offers many opportunities for advancement and long-term employment. We are eager to help anyone get their start and continue to grow in the hardwood flooring industry.

Position Title: Flooring Technician
Classification: Full-time, non-exempt
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM (hours can fluctuate based on job needs and overtime opportunities are available)
Start Date: Immediately
Wages: Starting at $18/hour with a performance evaluation at 60 days and opportunity to increase pay. Wage are negotiable based on existing skills and experience.

Non-Negotiable Candidate Requirements:
Possess, a valid drivers license with clean driving record, supported by drivers abstract.
Access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
Lift and carry 75 lbs minimum.
Bending and kneeling often throughout the work day without difficulty.
Operate hand and power tools as required.
Wear protective equipment required for working in a dusty, construction environment.
Follow workplace safety rules and be alert to potential hazards.
Work with care and display attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in construction and handling wood materials.
Appreciate the natural beauty and versality of wood.
Position Duties:
Install hardwood flooring.
Sand and coat hardwood flooring.
Operate and maintain flooring equipment with care.
Drive responsibly between the shop and job sites.
Organize and clean work vehicle.
Report job progress and concerns to team and supervisors.
Scan work environments and respond accordingly to prevent injuries and damage.
Other limited duties as assigned that support hardwood flooring operations.
