Smokehouse Operator for Night Shift Needed for Growing Company in Ferndale, Overtime opportunities!
Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Smokehouse Operator for a local company in Ferndale! The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working in a food production environment, able to follow strict safety and quality standards, and comfortable with regular lifting of 50 to 75 pounds. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity that offers room for growth!
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Night shiftMonday through Friday, some Saturdays as needed, 7:00 PM-3:30 AM
Location: Ferndale, WA
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up and operate smokehouse equipment per SOPs and production schedules
Monitor temperature, humidity, valves, and smoke levels for optimal conditions
Load and unload racks of products from the smokehouse
Adjust settings for product-specific requirements (color, flavor, texture)
Inspect products for quality and food safety compliance
Record smoking data (time, temp, humidity) for each batch
Troubleshoot and adjust processes to maintain product standards
Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas regularly
Perform routine maintenance checks and report issues
Follow all HACCP, USDA, and safety regulations
Regularly lifting 50-75 lbs.
