We’re a growing family farm in the outskirts of Bellingham in the small town of Acme. Full-time and part time position available. Farming is rewarding, hard work. Positions are seasonal through November. One year of commercial farming experience is required and tractor use is a plus. Range of pay is $18-28/hr doe & responsibilities on the farm. Benefits include sick pay, fresh food from the farm, and a scenic working environment.
We’re looking to fill positions right away:
-Production Assistant: 24-40 hours/wk. You will assist with various tasks related to farm maintenance, animal care, and crop production. This includes feeding/watering sheep & poultry and general animal care, collecting eggs, washing eggs, transplant/water/weed/harvest veggies, and greenhouse work. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and a passion for working in an agricultural environment. Pay Range is $18-$21/hr.
-Weekend Chores: 4-16 hrs/wk, feeding/watering sheep & poultry, field irrigation, greenhouse care. Previous experience is required. Pay range is $18-$22/hr.
-Poultry Processing: 7-28 hour/wk. Previous knife work required. Mandatory background check. $18-$28/hr doe & position worked.
Qualifications: Previous experience in farming or agriculture is required - Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance is a plus - Ability to handle animals safely and responsibly - Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in farming operations - Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting and manual labor - Knowledge of animal husbandry practices is beneficial - Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team - Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.
