Title: Clinical EMR Support Specialist

Location: Administrative Office - EMR Department

City: Bellingham, WA

Position:

Available shift options:

Part-time, 0.5 FTE (20 or 30 hours) Monday-Friday, temporary position anticipated 16 weeks,non-exempt (hourly)

Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours) Monday-Friday, temporary position anticipated 16 weeks, non-exempt (hourly)

Essential Functions:This position will focus on creating patient records and preloading clinical information from one Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) to FCN’s EMR. This will include reviewing patient charts to ensure accurate transfer of information.

We are looking for a qualified, motivated individual with a passion for family medicine who can:

Verify information and accurately enter and review patient data in the EMR

Obtain data, reports, and information from the EMR application

Adapt to process and procedure changes that may be needed to improve work flow

Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff, administration, and health care providers

Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of users in the event of system/application changes

Thrive and grow in a learning environment

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of clinical and medical office practices; medical office experience preferred

Proficiency using standard computer and office equipment, and a proven knowledge base of computer technology

Good typing, keyboarding, and phone skills

Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality

Ability to establish lasting and effective employee relationships in a team environment

At FCN, we value the importance of time away from work for leisure, health and well-being. Staff members accrue a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) program for vacation and short-term healthcare needs as well as an Extended Illness Bank (EIB).

Our PTO and EIB benefits begin accruing from the first day of employment and employees are eligible to take paid time off after 60 days of employment. An employee accrues PTO at a rate based upon the number of months of service at FCN. A new full-time employee generally accrues 18 days per year. EIB accrues based upon the number of paid hours excluding overtime, with a full-time employee accruing a maximum of 48 hours per year. Benefit eligibility is determined based on the full or part-time status of the position. Employees who are ineligible for FCN’s PTO/EIB programs accrue Paid Sick Leave per Washington State law.

Our 401k retirement plan is designed to support you in preparing for retirement planning and include individualized financial planning guidance. Eligibility for the FCN Retirement Plan programs is determined based upon years of service and required payroll hours.
