Seaview Boatyard North is currently seeking a well organized, detail oriented, highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills to assist in the yard store and purchasing department at our Squalicum Bay Marina location in Bellingham.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, flexible employee with a solid work ethic, strong customer service skills and a good sense of humor who thrives on working in a diverse and fast-paced environment. This position requires an individual who is professional, positive, able to work independently, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Position also requires the ability to work as part of a team that includes 20 boat repair technicians, management and office staff, providing support for each position as required. Boat knowledge a plus, but not required.
Primary responsibilities include distributing parts and equipment to technicians, recording materials used, inventory control, data entry/parts posting, accurate paperwork processing, maintaining tool checkout system and over the counter retail sales. Additional responsibilities include the pick-up and delivery of items per the request of the Purchasing Manager and/or the Operations Manager and the ability to interact with co-workers, sub-contractors, customers and vendors in a positive, friendly and collaborative manner.
Requirements:
Computer skills including familiarity with Windows-based software, data entry and MS Excel
Ability to multi-task and respond appropriately to constant change in priorities as necessary.
Strong customer service skills and professional manners.
Effective communication skills.
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license are essential.
Ability to read a map and/or knowledge of Bellingham area.
