Great opportunity for a Security Officer to work at the BP Cherry Point Refinery with Denali Universal Services (DUS) in Blaine, Washington!
DUS currently has both full-time/regular and temporary turnaround positions available. All initial license (or transfer) fees and fingerprinting will be covered by the company to obtain your Washington State Security Guard License. We are also currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus to all full-time/regular new hires! Temporary positions are not eligible for the bonus due to the status and duration of the temporary/seasonal position.
WORK SCHEDULE
Security Officers currently work a 12-hour rotational shift schedule consisting of 1 week on / 1 week off (7 days/week). A base pay period (2-weeks) earns 64 regular hours, combined with 20 hours of additional overtime pay. Positions require open availability for days, nights, weekends, or holidays due to a rotating schedule.
There are times when employees may be asked to work on days that would ordinarily be their scheduled days off. These additional pay opportunities include scheduled refinery turnaround periods and covering open shifts when needed.
Turnaround Security Officers will undergo the same work schedule. The turnaround is a temporary, full-time position for a refinery maintenance period at a client site. Duration will be approx. 6-8 weeks with a tentative start date of Feb/March, with potential full-time permanent employment dependent on available vacancies and individual work performance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license
Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) or able to obtain
State of Washington Security Officer license or able to obtain
Ability to speak, write, and comprehend the English language and apply written and verbal policies/procedures.
Must be able to pass the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation and post-offer physical.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Customer service-related field.
Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement or fire service (paid or volunteer).
Experience working at an oil refinery, manufacturing, or other industrial facility.
PAY & BENEFITS
This position start ranges between $20.06-$20.66/hour, plus additional for all overtime hours. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Officers will be working in and around an oil refinery, sitting or standing for extended periods either indoors or in inclement weather, and operating a company vehicle.
