Aslan Brewing Company is B Corp based in Bellingham, WA, focused on producing and distributing world-class organic beer using local resources, low-impact practices, and socially

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in the Bellingham office.

Role Type: Full Time, Salaried, On Site. (with flexibility to work from home on occasion/as needed)

Job Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for the growth and development of Aslan beer sales, maintaining relationships with distribution partners/buyers, and Aslan brand representation within their assigned territory. This role works cohesively with the Head Brewer and Warehouse Manager to ensure brew schedules and distribution schedules are set according to forecasted sales. The Sales Manager routinely acts as the face of Aslan Brewing, ensuring that Aslan is continuously represented as a brand of the highest quality, dedicated to sustainability.

At Aslan, we all help out where needed and this role in particular would be a hybrid role that would assist in all aspects of ensuring our customers get our organic beer on time. What that means is that regularly, this position will assist our Warehouse Manager and other Local Sales Reps with various warehousing tasks, from making local deliveries and possibly loading trucks, to hitting the pavement making sales connections and everything in between, this role will encompass teamwork at the very core.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages the Local Sales Representative’s weekly tasks.

Assists Operations Manager in completing Annual Performance Review(s) of Local Sales Representative(s).

Duties/Responsibilities:

Manages all distribution partnerships and weekly distributed sales in WA, OR, ID, and CA.

Manages sales, beer placements, new item setups, promotions, demos, and communication for all chain accounts.

Manages and oversees sales and event visits to other markets as needed.

Effectively and regularly secures new customers.

Develops and fosters existing and new customer accounts to maintain healthy client relationships.

Consults and develops strategies with potential customers through phone, virtual, and in-person meetings.

Maintains thorough knowledge of all Aslan Beers and the market Aslan serves.

Manages and tracks all account information.

Regularly provides sales forecasting to Head Brewer to ensure brew schedule matches demand.

Attends weekly production meetings to ensure a healthy balance of production capabilities and forecasted sales.

Assists with special projects such as collaborations between Aslan and retail or distribution partners.

Maintains Beer Margin and Beer Price tracking and communicates changes to Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, and affected distributors.

Regularly updates “Trello Board” with all new Beer releases.

Provides weekly release schedules and sales reports to Operations and Production teams.

Regularly assists in event planning and collaborations within assigned territories–this includes providing occasional support for Aslan Seattle staff during events.

Regularly tests beer in-market and ensures dates are within a set timeframe to ensure highest quality.

Prepares and distributes monthly fresh sheet with upcoming seasonal and one-off brews.

Provides backup warehousing assistance when the Warehouse Manager is off site.

Regularly provides assistance with local keg delivery and Aslan Seattle beer delivery to ensure timely delivery of orders.

Hiring credentials must include:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Operations.

Account Management and/or outside sales experience.

Valid WA State Drivers License and personal automobile insurance.

Highly motivated “people person” who thrives in creating and maintaining lasting relationships.

Desired credentials:

Account management experience within the beer industry.

Working knowledge of Google Workspace.

Experience managing staff.

Thorough knowledge of the craft beer industry.

Compensation and benefits:

Annual Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000 DOE
