We are in need of a plumbing apprentice/trainee. We are experiencing a significant amount of growth and as a result will need to expand our operations.
The ideal candidate will have some experience working in service plumbing, as we do a fair bit of that kind of work, but we also do a lot of remodel plumbing, repipes, etc.
We are looking for someone honest, with integrity, who takes responsibility for their work and wants to learn the best ways to practice the plumbing trade. Long term the company will grow into a much larger operation, but at this point the owner is the sole plumber in the field, so you will be working one-on-one learning the trade directly from a commercial journeyman plumber with approximately 17 years of experience in this trade.
Please respond with your level of experience in the plumbing field or similar/related type of work, a resume if you have one, and at least one reference to call. If you’d like to describe what you are looking for long-term as well, that is also helpful as we are at the ground floor of something that will grow with the right people.
Compensation: Hourly - Come get a raise. Healthcare insurance after 90 days probationary period. One week paid vacation after one year employment (accrued according to time elapsed, so after 2/5 of a year, two days of vacation accrued, etc). Plus paid time off for New Year’s day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day (or double time pay, depending on workload, at your option).
