Finally, we pack it all in boxes with minimal packaging and personally deliver this goodness right to our customer’s doorstep.Job Summary. The first thing to know is that for many of our customers, you are the face of the company and play a key role in delivering a great customer experience. Little things matter and, your friendliness and professionalism make a big difference in the experience of our customers. Drivers are expected to arrive no later than an hour after they are notified (within regular time windows), work efficiently, safely, and be committed to ensuring that each customer receives their box in the best possible condition. Common delivery pickup windows are Tuesday – Thursday around 10-11 am and can last between 3-6 hours. Other periodic jobs for delivery, product pickup, or coverage arise from time to time. This position starts with Wednesday delivery, largely within Bellingham proper.Core Responsibilities.Loading. Load your vehicle strategically with the day’s route according to the order provided you. Depending on your vehicle and the route size, you could have multiple loads in a day. Delivery. Keeping your vehicle as cool as possible, deliver our food boxes to customer’s doorstep and using our delivery App take a picture and/or add a note on any special circumstances for delivery notification and verification. It’s expected that drivers will show careful attention to ensuring correct delivery, quick action in correcting mistakes and tenacity in figuring out unclear locations.Returning reuseable items. We’ve made strategic decisions since the start to cut out as much packaging as possible, which is one reason why a customer’s box is packed that day and quick delivery is important. Another very tangible way we reduce waste is that customers can return boxes and icepacks for us to use multiple times. Those items are left on the porch to be picked up by drivers when delivering and then brought back and unloaded at the warehouse. Job Requirements.● Valid Driver’s License. ● Safe driving record, ability to safely drive while following directions and looking for locations. ● Lift boxes weighing approximately 10-30 pounds – loading and carrying them various distances.● Reliable, well maintained, personal vehicle you are comfortable using for work in various weather conditions. Preference is that you have a mid-large size SUV, mini-van, or hatch back. Your vehicle needs to be able to hold at least 20 small moving box sized boxes. ● Up to date mobile phone with full data plan that can be on for the entirety of your shift for map services, location tracking and our Optimo Route App.Valuable but not required:● Experience in warehouses, use of pallet jacks, food service, driving moving or delivery trucks up to 20 ft, delivery in cargo vans.● Face to face customer service experience.Compensation & Benefits● Hourly wages start at $19 an hour that increase with length of employment and role.● Mileage reimbursement when using personal vehicle.● Accrued Paid Time Off & Paid Sick Leave.● Floating Personal Holidays.● Produce at the end of the week if you would like it.
