As a Patient Service Specialist with Select Medical, you have the opportunity to create exceptional patient experiences and maintain an efficient and upbeat office environment in our physical rehabilitation centers!The ideal candidate possesses the ability to perform the following patient services activities with positivity and excellence:

Warmly greet every patient with eye contact and a smile

Register new patients and let them know what to expect during their visit

Schedule appointments

Verify insurance and present information to patients clearly and concisely

Collect co-pays

Obtain insurance authorizations when required

Communicate with our corporate central business office

Conform to all HIPAA guidelines

Be a team player

General Requirements

Warmly greet every patient with eye contact, a smile, and a positive statement

Attentively register new and existing patients as they arrive, offering them information as necessary to ensure they know what to expect during their visit

Thoughtfully schedule patient appointments in person or over the phone by showing empathy for their needs and limitations

Carefully conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Collect co-pays from patients with attention to detail

Offer a fond farewell, providing any pertinent information about their next appointment

Respond to requests for information from patients, providers, and coworkers in a timely manner and with a positive attitude

Show you are a team player who is committed to excellence by assisting your peers with general clinic maintenance and upkeep

Schedule:

Clinic Location: Normandy Park, WA

Type of Employment: Full time

Hours: up to 40 per week; Monday to Friday 7am - 6pm

Full Medical and Dental Benefits: Yes (for 32+ hours per week)

Previous medical office experience: Strongly Preferred

Previous experience with insurance/billing: Strongly Preferred

Additional Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience in a clinical office environment preferred, but not required

Ability to use all necessary office equipment with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook (e-mail).
