Endoscopic Technician

DescriptionUnder the direction of a Charge RN, prepares all equipment for endoscopic procedures, cleans equipment properly using appropriate protocols and procedures, prepares equipment for repair and tracks repairs, and assists in all Endoscopic procedures for the proper operation Gastroenterology Endoscopic unit. Accountable for demonstrating knowledge of principles and practice of aseptic techniques, and all Quality assurance activities related to infection control and disinfection/sterilization of endoscopic equipment.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire. Or,

Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire. Or,

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or

Within 1 year of hire: National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution

1 year - Previous experience required to include scope processing, scheduling procedures, computer data entry, and assisting in the procedure room.

2 years - Previous experience required to include scope processing, scheduling procedures, computer data entry, and assisting in the procedure room.
