Behavior Clinician

The Behavior Clinician will serve as a leader of the Youth Out of Home Services (OHS) team, dedicated to addressing the unique needs of children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors to live safely in the community in a residential group home setting. Some of our youth have transitioned out of more restrictive settings, such as a hospital, while others have transitioned from their family home. WHAT YOU WILL DO:Manage caseload of individuals (10-21 years old) for treatment implementationConduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)Provide clinical guidance to Direct Support Professionals and Program SupervisorsConduct program visits to interact with staff and supported individualsFoster positive rapport with individuals, parents, and guardiansReview data to ensure care meets individual's current needsComplete progress reports and update plans as necessaryAssist in providing on-call support, crisis intervention and outreach as needed and appropriate.Consult and assist with assessment and implementation of supports needed such as reinforcement systems, coping skills, adaptive equipment, etc.Provide guidance and assistance with admission and discharge decisions on high needs cases.Participate in the debriefing of significant incidents of individuals on caseload when requestedAttend person-centered planning meetings and home staffing meetingsDevelop and maintain collaborative relationships with external service providers including DDA, Consultants, Hospitals, Schools, ABA Providers, etc.
