Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk to join our team in the cleaning industry, located in Everett, Washington. The chosen individual will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, including processing customer invoices and monitoring accounts. Responsibilities: Accurately processing billing for customers and other divisions within the marine cleaning industry. Assisting with timekeeping, overseeing the accurate recording of working hours for approximately 50 employees. Handling general office, financial, and production operations with a keen eye for detail. Processing security badging and documentation, ensuring that all employees have the necessary credentials for their roles. Maintaining strict confidentiality in all aspects of employee information. Dealing with project delegation, efficiently managing and executing tasks assigned by supervisors. Managing and processing purchase orders (PO's) as part of the billing function. Exhibiting excellent verbal and written communication skills while handling customer inquiries and resolving issues. Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, as well as other accounting software systems, to maintain accurate customer credit records. Demonstrating dependability and attention to detail in all aspects of the Billing Clerk role. Requirements Minimum of one year of experience in a Billing Clerk role or similar position Proficiency in accounting software systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge and experience working with IBM AS/400 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Familiarity with accounting functions Experience in billing functions Experience in claim administration Knowledge of collection processes Strong customer service skills High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education in finance or related field preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
