Shipping ClerkOverview:· Pay: $26 an hour· Location: Everett, WA· Weekly payJob Description:Aerospace electronics manufacturer hiring for a Shipping Clerk to perform a variety of packaging and shipping activities in accordance with postal regulations, government, commercial and other customer specifications. Job duties include:· Verify accuracy of shipments against pick lists, sales orders, bills of lading, and invoices or other records.· Maintain necessary records and files of transactions accurately.· Accurately create and promptly communicate Purchase Orders to Outside Processors.· Verify and perform purchase order receipts from vendors in ERP system.· Perform cycle counts efficiently and coordinate/ensure inventory accuracy measures.· Define stock locations to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility.· Facilitate communication between customers, outside processors, transporters, suppliers.· Route materials to proper departments or work center.· Independently inspect merchandise for visible flaws and damage and respond appropriately.· Stock and/or restock orders as necessary.· Correctly prepare merchandise for shipment and arrange transportation.· Coordinate shipping transactions and ensure on time delivery.· Instruct and/or assist in preparing merchandise for shipment and arranging transportation.· Monitor shipping supplies and re-order as needed.Preferred Skills & Qualifications:· 2+ years of shipping experience (aerospace is preferred but not required)· Ability to operate forklift· Basic computer skills are required – Email and MS Office· Familiarity with Epicor Avante ERP system is a benefit, but not required· Effective communication and interpersonal skills· Must be willing to submit to pre-employment complianceShift: 6am-3:30pm M-Th and 6am-2:30pm every other FridayBenefits and Other Information:We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification. Rents post office boxes, receives rental payments, conducts reference checks, and completes related forms. 10. May assign and clear accountable items and distribute mail as required. 11. Distributes primary and one or more secondary schemes of incoming mail by delivery point based on a knowledge of the distribution scheme established for the office, branch or station. 12. Distributes primary and one or more secondary schemes of outgoing mail for dispatch based on knowledge of current distribution schemes. 13. May perform passport duties as assigned, including verification of identification and photograph, administering oath, reviewing application for completeness, affixing stamp or seal on application and ensuring all documents are stored securely and mailed promptly. 14. May perform additional duties such as: maintain records of mails; face and cancel mail; make emergency carrier relays; label and tie out mail for dispatch and other related duties for distribution.
