From basic health needs to the most complex, highly specialized care, our patients can count on us to meet their needs with convenient access to the region’s most prestigious experts and innovative treatments and technologies.ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:As a CT Technologist youll utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues in compliance with proper safety procedures and protocols. Youll interpret the physician’s scanning instructions administer contrast materials prepare and operate the CT scan equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.Your day-to-day work will also include:

Maneuvering equipment and patients Providing basic patient care Submitting accurate and timely imaging patient history documentation and case charges

Supporting the department’s initiatives related to patient and employee satisfaction

Performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment initiative and ingenuity in order to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis

Being accountable for keeping your skills current and continuing your own professional development and education (including attending department meetings and learning from radiologists as well as staying informed about CHI Franciscan standards protocols and procedures relating to the CT function)

Performing quality assurance audits and activities as well as incidental office duties as needed to ensure timely and complete patient records as well as a highly functioning department and team

QualificationsEducation/Work Experience:

Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology (including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy). One year of work experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) required Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required State of Washington Registration as a Radiologic Technologist. CT Registration is preferred.

As a Float MRI Technologist, you will operate an MRI scanner to produce images of the patient\'s body for diagnostic purposes at multiple centers within the market. Provides leadership and technical support to MRI services, assuring that services are provided within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Remains self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. This position is full-time, shifts will vary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (75%) Patient Imaging Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination Prepares patients for MR procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, position patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned, and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers Converses with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as required Follows physicians\' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers (20%) Imaging Support Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use Assists with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades Monitors medical supply inventory Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise (5%) Performs other duties as assigned Required: ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MR and/or radiographic procedures independently MR certification Valid driver\'s license and proof of current insurance Preferred: Bilingual RAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
