Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring for a Senior 737 MAX Development Certification Specialist. This position offers the potential to broaden skills and experience across multiple engineering disciplines. This position is located in Renton, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the development of issue papers
  • Assessing certification plans
  • Developing certification approaches/strategies with the Federal Aviation Authorities (FAA), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and technical focals across the enterprise
  • Assisting in the development of technical briefs for domestic and foreign regulators


This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
  • Experience working 14 CFR Part 25 and EASA CS-25 aspects.
  • Experience with regulatory agencies' procedures and processes.
  • Ability to ensure adherence to regulatory processes
  • Demonstrated integration and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze regulatory data
  • Experience in project leadership
  • Ability to manage competing priorities


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
  • Knowledge of regulatory processes


Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.
