Description Robert half is working with a company looking for an analytical, proactive and committed Accounting Manager with good interpersonal skills and strong initiative. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of ownership, and will not need to be micromanaged. The individual in this role is expected to provide guidance and training for the team as they support both the finance department and the entire plant's operations. This is a permanent opportunity in Kent, WA and is fully on-site. Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, and payroll.
Supervise and guide a team of 3-4 direct reports, including AP and AR specialists and staff accountants.
Implement and maintain comprehensive systems for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Analyze complex financial reports and records, and provide accurate financial analysis to management for decision-making purposes.
Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Manage the preparation of monthly journal entries and adjusting journal entries.
Oversee and manage the company's financial systems, currently Microsoft Dynamics AX transitioning to Dynamics 365 in the near future.
Collaborate with external auditors, ensuring successful audit results and compliance.
Act as a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters.
Support the Controller with projects and tasks as required.
Salary and Benefits:The salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000. Benefits offered with the position include, 3 weeks of PTO, flexible sick time, 8 paid holidays, a 401k with a 4% match, and M/D/V benefits.Requirements
Minimum of five years of progressive experience
Proficient in managing Accounting Functions
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Knowledge of Auditing practices and principles Capable of handling Month End Close procedures
Proficiency in preparing Monthly Journal Entries Ability to make Adjusting Journal Entries
Familiarity with Payroll processing Proficiency in maintaining the General Ledger
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Knowledge of accounting software and systems
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
