System Application Engineer II - Aerospace / Defence

Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple major projects of high complexity requiring innovative solutions for IFE/CMS systems
Prepare documentation of designs and requirements for VIP/VVIP systems and third party products/sub systems in support of complex projects and programs
Conduct design reviews of requirements implementation to ensure system requirements are understood and implementable with all cross-functional engineering teams
Support customer proposal development with system, equipment definitions and custom requirement solutions
Primary owner of System Integration Testing Procedures (ATPs) for customer programs and formal witness testing
Oversee the System Integration Testing results, disposition, and coordinate resolution with cross functional teams
Report projects milestones progress to Senior Leadership
Serve as Subject Matter Expert in customer discussions to define optimal solutions
Supervises more junior engineers and mentors others in areas of System Application Engineering
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering degrees, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in large scale integrated systems, preferably with Cabin CMS/IFE systems
Skills:
Aircraft Cabin CMS/IFE Systems, VVIP or Business Jet systems preferred
Aircraft system installation and wiring design interpretation
System Integration Testing methodology
Proficient in project planning while addressing external/internal dependencies and associated logistics across multiple functions
Self-supervising within guidance and expectations of divisional management.
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable interfacing at all organizational levels, especially with customers
